Description
Industrial processes in high pressure conditions need mounting options where the electrode can be frequently removed and inserted without interrupting the process.
Honeywell’s 7774 / 7774D Insertion/Removal ball valve mounting is designed for use in such processes.
What Is It?
The 7774 / 7774D Insertion/Removal Assemblies are designed for industrial processes involving high pressure such as boiler water analysis, demineralization, reverse osmosis, pharmaceutical and chemical production, waste treatment and pulp and paper production.
The ball valve mounting is available with Durafet® (7774D) and Meredian series combination (single-probe) pH or ORP electrodes (7774). For applications requiring chemical resistance or for high-temperature operation, it offers plastic and 316 stainless steel wetted materials.
The assembly is easy to operate and maintain and offers a cost-effective way of accurate pH measurement.
How Does It Work?
The 7774 / 7774D assembly comprises reliable restraining mechanisms that allow safe insertion and removal of electrodes under pressure to ensure the process is uninterrupted.
This mounting includes a valve assembly and a Durafet or Meredian electrode mounted on a support tube. With the valve assembly connected to the process, the electrode is inserted into the assembly for a positive seal. When the valve is opened, the electrode is inserted into the process medium and locked in position.
To remove the electrode, this sequence is reversed. The electrode assembly can be safely inserted or withdrawn at process pressures up to 50 psig.
What Problems Does It Solve?
The 7774 mounting assembly facilitates accurate pH measurement resulting in efficient product quality and reagent control. In addition, features such as the long lifespan of Durafet and the gel refill kit capability bring significant cost savings for the users.
