Description
Conductivity measurement helps address vital issues including corrosion and scaling reduction, ensuring water purity, contamination monitoring and process chemical strength verification.
Honeywell’s 4909 series of conductivity cells provides highly reliable and accurate conductivity measurement to satisfy diverse process needs.
What Is It?
Honeywell’s 4909 series comprise ball valve assemblies that can be mounted in large pipe diameters or directly in the side of a process tank to measure conductivity in applications ranging from sensitive ultra-pure water applications to highly conductive industrial processes.
While the 4909 series comprises ball valve, mounting nipple, stuffing box assembly and the conductivity cell, the 4908 is the just the replacement cell used with the 4909 assembly. The ball valve assemblies are available in both stainless steel and CPVC plastic.
Honeywell offers an array of cell constants allowing users to select the one best suited for their application. Equipped with a wide range of capabilities, these cells ensure accurate conductivity measurement.
How Does It Work?
The 4909 series includes a ball valve for mounting the cell, allowing insertion or removal of the cell without interruption to the process. Equipped with high temperature and pressure limits, these cells provide continuous and reliable measurements at temperatures up to 140 degree C and pressures up to 150 psig.
The conductivity cells can be supplied with nickel, Monel or platinum electrodes depending on cell constant requirement of the user. Corrosion resistant materials of construction for the cell bodies can withstand all types of process environments.
What Problems Does It Solve?
The 4909 series simplifies the conductivity measurement process and improves overall process efficiency. It provides users with reliable and accurate data in a cost effective manner. The rugged design of this series ensures easy installation, maintenance and replacement.
